आठवडाभर चौफेर हजेरी लावलेल्या पावसाचा जोर आज, सोमवारपासून (२४ जुलै) ओसरणार आहे. शहरात आकाश सामान्यत: ढगाळ राहणार असून, हलक्या सरींची शक्यता आहे. घाट विभागात काही ठिकाणी मुसळधार पाऊस पडणार असल्याचा अंदाज भारतीय हवामानशास्त्र विभागाने (आयएमडी) व्यक्त केला आहे.

पुण्यात रविवारी सलग दुसऱ्या दिवशी सकाळपासूनच रिपरिप सुरू होती. सकाळी हलक्या सरी; पण दुपारनंतर काही वेळासाठी मध्यम स्वरूपाच्या सरी बरसल्या. थोड्या वेळाच्या विश्रांतीनंतर पाऊस पडत होता. सुट्टी असली, तरी पावसामुळे नागरिकांनी सायंकाळी घराबाहेर फेरफटका, फिरायला जाणे टाळले. रात्री आठनंतर पावसाचा जोर वाढला. दिवसभरात हवेत गारवा होता. रात्री साडेआठपर्यंत १.६ मिलीमीटर पावसाची नोंद झाली.
शहरासह मध्य महाराष्ट्राच्या विविध भागांत पावसाने कमी-अधिक प्रमाणात हजेरी लावली. राज्यावरील कमी दाबाचा पट्टा कायम असून, कोकणचा काही भाग आणि मध्य महाराष्ट्रातील घाट माथ्यावर तुरळक भागात अतिवृष्टीची शक्यता ‘आयएमडी’तर्फे वर्तविण्यात आली आहे.
पर्यटनस्थळी गर्दी
पावसाळी वातावरण आणि धुक्यात हरवलेल्या पर्यटनस्थळांवर फिरण्याचा आनंद घेण्यासाठी नागरिक सकाळीच शहराबाहेर पडले होते. ताम्हिणी, मुळशी, पौड, लोणावळ्यामध्ये सकाळी दहापासूनच पर्यटकांची गर्दी झाली होती. खडकवासला, सिंहगड, पानशेत परिसरात पर्यटकांची दिवसभर वर्दळ होती. अनेकांनी सहकुटुंब वर्षासहलीची मजा अनुभवली. सायंकाळी पाचनंतर पर्यटकांनी परतीचा वाट धरल्याने शहरात येणाऱ्या मुख्य रस्त्यांवर वाहतुकीची कोंडी झाली होती.
रायगड जिल्ह्यातील सर्व शाळांना आज सुट्टी
रायगड जिल्ह्यातील सगळ्या शाळांना आज सुट्टी जाहीर करण्यात आली आहे. हवामान विभागाकडून ऑरेंज अलर्टचा इशारा असल्यामुळे ही सुट्टी जाहीर करत असल्याचे पत्र रायगड जिल्हा प्रशासनाकडून रविवारी सायंकाळी उशिरा जारी करण्यात आले आहे. यासह मुंबई गोवा राष्ट्रीय महामार्गलगत असलेल्या सवत सडा धबधब्यावर पर्यटकांना बंदी घालण्यात आली आहे. चिपळूण प्रांताकाऱ्यांकडून आदेश जारी करण्यात आला आहे.

Holiday for all schools in Raigad district today
Holiday has been announced for all the schools in Raigad district today. Raigad district administration has issued a letter late on Sunday evening declaring this holiday due to orange alert warning by Meteorological Department. Along with this, tourists have been banned from the Savat Sada Falls, which is located along the Mumbai-Goa National Highway. An order has been issued by the Chiplun district officials.
